What is Hypnotherapy & Why Use It?
Most people’s perception of Hypnosis has been primed by television, leading people to believe that Hypnosis can take control of the person being hypnotised and make them do something against their will. This is simply not true. You are fully aware of the experience, and you have full control.
Hypnosis is a form of therapy that uses the power of positive suggestion to bring about a change in the subconscious mind. The process itself aims to alter the state of consciousness in a way that relaxes the conscious mind (similar to meditation) while concurrently stimulating and focusing the subconscious mind to make it receptive to change.
The subconscious mind oversees all our automatic bodily functions, our emotions, our beliefs, our habits, our thought process. This is why the subconscious mind is so powerful and that is why our work in hypnosis is focused here. As a hypnotherapist my role is to be the narrative to guide your mind into an altered state of awareness and heighten it to help you succeed in your transformation.
